The sale will be hybrid. We will
be using a bid-board for the sale. All the lot numbers will be listed and
their base price given. If buyers are interested in a particular lot they
will indicate so on the board.
Multiple bidders may be interested in the same lot.
At 7:30 p.m. we will close the board. Those lots that have
multiple bidders interested, and please note that we may have some buyers that
have left purchasing instructions ahead of the sale who are unable to attend,
will then be opened up for incremental bidding. This portion will
function just as a traditional auction.
We will work through the contested lots until all the goats are
claimed. If a buyer is interested in a lot - but is not the successful
final bidder of the animal, a few minutes will be given between lots sold for
buyers to express interest in an alternate lot. Likewise, if they have
expressed interest in multiple lots, but are the successful buyer of one or
more lots, they will have the opportunity to remove their bidding number from
any remaining lots on the board if they should choose to do so.
Those lots with a single interested buyer will have purchased the
animal at the base price listed when the live sale is complete.

We feel this is the fairest, most transparent way to market the
goats. It will allow families to make
good buying decisions and we will be able to quickly move through the goat
offering.
